-Mike/Thread: <FORE's ATM switching solutions.> I agree, and appreciate your post in terms of ATM's "time" and Fore's switching solutions {for itself and priv. label} is where most of its money is made. Absolutely rt. on Intel. As an investor who is trying to acquire a working knowledge in this sub-sector of the tech. industry, while I am pleased that ATM's time is now, when it comes to FORE, I wish the ATM prod. cost and acceptance struggle was over 2 yrs. ago, bcse Fore clearly held the market and technology advantage then. Technologically, do you believe it still does? From a mkting. standpoint, everyone I have spoken with who sells or uses Fore's products, consistently comment on their superior quality AND on Fore's need for a better mktging. program. In the past, Fore didn't need to bcse. of a lack of comparably advnc'd competition; that is no longer true. I am amused at all the % predictions of a takeover. Others gave their %'s before The Prof. essentially wrote that, w/o time limits, there is only a 10% chance Fore won't be taken-over. I have not inquired as to the basis for his prediction. Now you {Mike} write of @ least a 40% chance of a take-over. In the past, Fore has always stated they are "acquireor," not "acquire'ee;" yet all companies have a price, and "sensible merger/acquire" factors. Please help me understand the basis for your prediction. On a purely positive note, I was most pleased with FORE during the last 45 mkt. mins. today. IMVHO, if it continues tomorrow, +/-/on the strike [25] looks xllnt for Friday. {If FORE breaks 24 by Thurs., need to ck. the April shrt./int. to see if might be a + factor.} Martian, if you are reading this, now we all know --> the next time FORE needs a lil' boost, all you have to do is pass the plate for everyone to chip-in to get Prof. Ed a bus ticket to the Lincoln Mem. :) To a good eve --- and a good day tomorrow, Carol
