W.S.F. you guess could be a good one. It would be nice to not have to guess though. Maybe we could get the top ten list of what is Naxos doing with our dirt on the David Lettermen show.

Could the delays be as simple as, Naxos isn't the only one turning in material for assaying to these various labs? They probably have some kind of priority arrangement, ie who will pay the most, or prior contract, not necessarily first in first out.

I can also imagine a lengthy cleaning/sanitizing procedure between various samples to guarantee no cross contamination. Not trying to support the companies apparent lack of response, but I haven't seen this line of thought proposed before, (jm$.02).
