Here are a few additions from my conference call notes:

Movement to 300mm being pushed out by several major customers.

Orders expected to decline in U.S. and Japan.

Cannot now predict the end of the down cycle.

European investment will be good.

DRAM parity expected in mid '99 (I think they were referring to balance between supply and demand).

Q3 earnings guidance of 0.20 to 0.23 per share.

Japan is the real issue - if they don't take advantage of the weakness elsewhere in Asia, they expect that someone else will.

In regard to a question about their comment on trolling for the bottom, they said, "We're not sure we're coming up for air yet." and "We don't know when the upturn will come."

No prediction on 1999 growth rate, other than saying they expect it to be up, barring major problems in the economy.
