I see both sides to this issue!!!

When I first came to this board I was able to pick up a lot of information in a short time, what with the news posts, hints in certain people's opinions, and at the same time enjoy getting to learn about some of the people in this thread. I can genuinely say I have laughed often!!

However as more and more people come to this thread, invest in DGIV, get to loving this ride on the rocketship, form friendships, catch up with long lost cousins, etc. you come home from a day at work and have 300 posts to read!! I enjoy this thread, but I do have a real busy life as well. It can be intimidating! I can only imagine how the new folks feel.

May I suggest the following?

1. Keep the info thread for what it is.
2. Highlite the important information on this thread say for every
100 posts with something like,
MUST SEE POSTS BETWEEN 4000 and 4100 as a header, then in the text list the numbers you feel are important not to miss. You could even
put in a foot note of ones that gave you a good laugh!!
3. We can take turns doing the 100 message highlites! Who's in charge
of our info, sign up a team.
4. Then for those of us who only have a short time to catch up between
work, commitments, family, etc., we can read the highlited ones of every hundred, then when our time permits come back and enjoy the fun we missed in between.
5. Keep the clubhouse for those that want to go have fun, talk, have
contests etc. (and for those late night owls looking for someone
to talk to), so you don't get 20-30 posts in a row with no info, that might turn away a potential new friend!!

Anyway just how I would like to see it, I am taking off for three much needed days this week-end, will miss it here, will look forward to getting back to see what I missed ,but not looking forward to having to read 1000 posts to do it! Again I think a highlite system for every 100 might do the trick!!

Let me know what you think!

Denise

P.S Mark everyone still around!

I disagree with setting up another separate board, We are proliferating like a government bureaucracy, trying to mollify all persuasions.
When I got in early on, I had to do my own dd which was solidified by the vast information on this board.
You've seen other boards, I am sure. Many of them would stifle a novice investor. I had no one hold my hand and spoon-feed me. You only appreciate what you work for.
Many of these people are not investors, they are gamblers. Some, unfortunately don't spend the egg money, they spend the house money; quivering in anticipation of the next news release, fearing their house of cards will fall. Some wouldn't know a telephone unless it had a sign on it and someone read it to them.
The uniqueness of this board is the marvelous mixture of knowledge, confidence in the company and the personal blend of personalities who know how and when to enjoy themselves while keeping their eye on the prize.
No, I would not like to change it. The people who complain that there is too much to sift through, dammit, pick up a shovel and start digging. You will appreciate that kind of DD more, and appreciate the outstanding prospects of YOUR company, should you choose to invest.
Warm Regards,
Scottoo
