The news today was good for MSFT but the climate of opinion is against MSFT

Ultimately Gates may be headed for the same fate as William Randolph Hearst. Gates is falling into the litigation trap. He is getting bad advice. He should have done anything to avoid DOJ filing a Sherman Anti-Trust Act suit. Instead he leaves DOJ with little choice. Either they file or they look like idiots.

Anybody want to play a game of golf with Bill Clinton? Just make an appointment through Vernon Jordan. Look what it buys you! And in case you didn't notice, MSFT is busy trying to buy up Congress. Look what it did for Suharto! He gets a Billion bucks from us while he shoots down students asking for democracy. (Remember the Riyadi contributions to Clinton)

It's a very corrupt world kid.
