Steve - To many (but not all) semi-equipment cos., cannibalizing sales of the previous generation is just fine, because they need new equipment to make the next generation. Who wins and who loses here depends on the change in process.

I agree, but the point of my previous post was that the growth numbers for 256Mb DRAM's are almost useless without knowing what the current DRAM market size is (16Mb + 64Mb + 256Mb).
