Re.: 3) The deciding factor in the price of many India-based stocks, IMO, will hinge on investor emotions. The US and other counties will impose sanctions against India.

Not so sure. Sanctions were imposed on Iraq, Libya, and Cuba for reasons - terrorism, aggression, etc. India exploded nuclear bomb as early as 1974. It is no secret that India and some others (Israel, South Africa, Pakistan) have had the nuclear capability. Impose sanctions for nuclear tests? How about sanctions on China or Russia or France? France has recently exploded a nuclear device in some island. The current govt. of India may see it as her sovereignty being challenged. As for y2k companies, capitalism will prevail in the end. Russia, China, Eastern Europe, etc. are just some examples. U S companies know how to take care of their needs. Ram
