Opinion: Yes I trade with Datek and I've seen MB Trading at it's finest along with a few others. I do have an observation concerning the thread. If MB Trading is so great & you guys are making money hands over fist then how are you dealing with the entry log to satisfy tax requirements. With all that money piling up someone has to be responsible for your taxes. Even your CPA must require some kind of reasonable organization. I hate to sound short but I've posted on a few threads asking the same question which no one seems to have a answer to. Seems one of these fast trading, Lexis driving, hole in one successful traders could answer.

Can anyone recommend a satisfactory software program for managing a
active trading account & at the same time satisfy all the tax requirements. I trade
average 15-20 times a week & the book keeping has become a nightmare. SOES
traders must have some solution to this. I would think this would be a considerable
problem for anyone trading as often over considerable time period. Any suggestion
would be greatly
appreciated.

Paul,

Very infrequently, things may slow down, but it has always been so slight that after one or two mins, normal service resumes. I've never had a serious problem that was obviously MB's fault. Its much more likely for the internet backbone to go down in my experience.

For instance, Tuesday morning I had a power cut for about two hours. I phoned MB and they answered on the first ring and took my limit sell order, no problem (and no charge).

As regards timeliness of the feed - so far for me its as real time as it gets. I can't perceive any delay, i.e. my split second timed orders on fast moving stocks get filled.

I started with MB on May 1st and I've done 42 trades. I stupidly lost a fortune on ENMD but I'm steadily making it back at about $3k-$4k/day. This would not be possible without MB's fast executions. As I said before, I'm only getting 28k from my 56k modem, but it works fine for me. I'm just a beginner.
