Marty--in reference to WAVX particularly, I agree VectorVest borders on the worthless, except, arguably, to the extent others in WAVX use it as a system ("gospel"), at least they won't be selling at present, though they will likely pile on to a sell-off should it occur.

From my limited experience, it is a technical tool with a sprinkling of fundamental analysis. On the technical side, it looks for established intermediate up or down trends and essentially advocates "jumping on the ride, be it up or down." It does not appear to identify the point of reversals well, is often late in recognizing the trend (thereby missing a large portion of the movement), and is not sensitive to short-term trends (should anyone care to trade on that basis). As for fundamentals, it seems to focus on EPS in relation to growth rate in relation to stock price, more or less adopting the view that a stock's PE ratio should correlate with its earnings growth rate. As far as I can tell, it makes no allowance for news or product potential or anything else discussed on this thread.

IMHO only. (I "used" it trading VTS options, but ultimately resorted to my own feel for trends.)

Good to hear from you, BTW.
