<<< OFF Topic. >>>

Mr. Latif, first of all please accept my apologies for not thanking you earlier, for the articles you made available for me. If you don't mind, I would forward them to be posted on the "Pakistan 2010" site at erols.com

Regarding the current situation, I agree with you. Pakistan should not enter into this nuclear race with India. India has made a mistake and today world is little less safer then it was a week ago. Unfortunately people in our part of the world don't understand that wars, both conventional and unconventional, are the things of the past. Pakistan should "NOT" follow. We have more important things to take care of. We have to increase the level of education and standard of living of our people first. Being a nuclear power when a big number of our people live in poverty is meaningless. The whole world knows that we have the capability, we do not need an explosion to prove any thing. Restraining ourselves will help us in the long run, both economically and diplomatically.

In any case we should wait for a few months, and see what kind of sanctions are imposed on India, if none - then we should consider the option.

Ike, ****Off Topic****>>>Every one seems to be charged up like a raging bull to display new found puberty in weapons of mass destruction. However, we need to forego response and build our economy and infrastructure.<<<

I fully agree. Besides, testing via computer simulation is just as effective as live testing. Not that we need either.

This Indian thing is purely ego driven. A good dose of Viagra could probably cure this need to demonstrate weapons of mass destruction.

Look at Germany for example. Do they really need to demonstrate a nuclear capability to take over Poland? Hell, no. Instead of a military takeover of Poland, this time they are going to buy them<ggg>.

Best of luck - I hope you have some influence - no matter how much - every little bit counts.

Best regards,

Mary Cluney
