please lay off the CAPS, btw, "hits" can mean any number of statistics pertaining to the web sites.. low source graphics get pulled out of the server, on the web page (say there are ten, and 5 banners, on that page= 16 hits. thumb ten pages=160 "hits" (when the client asks server for a file) and you didn't buy a thing, visit the site ten times.. 1600 hits. a good count would be exclusive hits (i forget the netspeak for it.. i have been programming html all night) there are lots of statistical games to be played. JQ public has no clue.. my site does not have a page counter, and my logfile remains private, and no banner ads, etc... i will have a reciprocal links page, and add links to certain relative features on the site, say you look into NY museums.. you get name phone number and address, and if the museum has a website, you can go there thru the link (the name of the museum will be in "blue" and underlined) (btw you can lter your browser for the hyperlinks unvisited to be any color you like, but that is off topic. taxi
