Investing vs. Trading:

Specifically looking at FORE, for "investors," such as the Prof. and many others in the past, who were in FORE during it's rapid rise, or entered at the top, in '96, only to get hurt by the drop while holding shrs. @ $30-$33, regrouping, and becoming gun-shy s/t "traders" clearly makes gd. "protective" sense. For "investors" who initially acquired FORE a year ago, they have made over 50% on their investment and will likely do well to remain passive. For those of us who are "investors" for the purpose of writing cov'd. calls, and "traders" when s/t opportunities are present, this has been a good yr. FORE is clearly establishing a new range. Luke, your getting {mostly} out at 22.5 made xllnt. sense for the prev. range. FORE during the past 2 yrs. demonstrates the old adage, "Regardless of the product, if you buy right, you will always be able to sell right."

The real point is: The Prof. is v.gd. in his analyses, and many others on this thread have equally meaningful contributions; however, that should not be confused with investing style, which is an individual choice, based on objectives, ability and the time a person chooses to allocate to working the mkt.

A good day .....
