There's always one firm that would break out of the pack. I wouldn't worry about a "short term sell". In fact, it is strange that a broker would attempt to be a speculator instead of an investor. If I were a client of the firm, what can I do with a "short term sell" recommendation? Trade in and out and give lots of commissions to the broker and hope to keep some back I guess.

Gotta watch out for brokers that advice clients to speculate... no one can time the market and win consistently... and certainly not brokers! Brokers that recommend clients to trade frequently are more likely more interested in making money for themselves rather than for clients.
