Hi! Here's an amendment to your suggestion of labeling posts OFF-TOPIC and it will be much less trouble for folks to wade through. When something pertinent is posted, why not label it MUST READ? That way those who just want info on either thread can simply click onto the coffee shop posts with the MUST READ headers and ignore the rest. Since this is the coffee shop topic and therefore, by definition, most posts will probably be off-topic, it will be a lot less for lurkers to sift through posts that say MUST READ than it would for them to sift through posts that say OFF TOPIC. We have a pretty good idea already who those are that post mainly DGIV info. We can also get a feel from the header as to what the topic is. IMO, its really just a matter of exercising your freedom to choose. Please note that the header also gives information as to the nature of the post.
