Well one benefit was that I got to sample some Chinese cuisine after all that!

Now I'm going out to cycle - the Sun was out yesterday and is out today as well (finally - it was beginning to be almost Noah Ark like here).

One question for Michael:

Did Corrigan highlight any differences between the company's position in mid-1996 and today? In other words was the "this time is different" theme played? [To me there are several: lack of PC dependence, lower % on computers, accelerating lead times, really fat pipeline vs. no pipeline in 1996, no large inventory build at customers in preceding 2 quarters etc etc...] But it still would be interesting to have seen how Wilf address this because I think this pavlovian attitude - LSI has schrewed up before, it will do it again thing - is rife in investors'/traders' minds.

And thanks a bunch for the fantastic first hand comments. I agree with o~~~ O (that's just the first name I think though it might be first + mid. initial(?) + last. The space in o~~~ O is messing me up. I would have said o~~~ but wasn't sure whether it was o~~, o~, o or even o~~~ , you know we are not so formal here - no one calls me shane forbes or shaneforbes they just say shane) that these first hand comments are really useful. Was the food good?

You know now that I think about it how long did the apres-meeting thing last? Maybe that dufus security guard screwed up and LSI was still hanging around the building at around 6:45?
