Sorry I resigned my MDYN P.R. job last week and sold both before and after earnings and am now out looking in. Two 8 cents quarters in a row did not look too good to me given the competition that I feel MDYN faces in both Japan and Europe and the weakness in Japan. Fortunately I came out well ahead overall except my last few trades. I will probably buy back in some day but not likely before earnings come out next quarter to look for and increase in earnings and revenues and decrease in inventory.

As far as the prospects go for MDYN, I am optimistic about the future of chips but really don't know much about the MDYN/Amersham technologies yet. There are a LOT of players in this field now including Affymetrix and Hyseq. MDYN/Amersham seems to be trying to establish a "standard" but if that is not accepted it could be tough sledding in California. However, I am impressed by the variety of companies they have signed up.

AFFX, for one, is building production facilities in Sacramento and I believe is ramping up for some significant growth. I saw that HYSQ had a big drop today too but that is probably related to a decline after its recent rise.

The area of chips is going to be one where there are a lot of companies claiming rights too.
