Wahoograd - Nope, I'm afraid we don't have anything to do with Wave or the companies whose names I posted. We just have a CTO who has a brain the size of a planet and just 'knows' stuff about any topic you care to mention - like Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing systems, for example. - and when he says that huge bandwidth for all is just around the corner, I am inclined to believe him.

...and when we get expanded fibre-optic comms AND digital satellite comms then presumably we should get enough bandwidth for ALL our Net based activity, for the time being at least.

..... and when THAT happens, I for one would want a single, secure microtransaction metering and payment system that works for both online and offline content - even if it means ripping my existing PC to pieces and rebuilding it ! (well, almost.....)

...and FWIW - I work for a private software company called Neon Systems and we sell middleware to large corporations for PC and web-browser access to data and applications on large IBM S/390 Mainframes and Oracle systems.

.......of course, if Wave goes the way we all hope it does, then I may not be there for long !!
