I saw the interview. It was a little disappointing. I thought he'd talk more about WIKD and what they had in store for the future. Instead, he talked more in general terms of how the microbrew industry got started, why is it in the toilet right now, too many microbrews out there, etc., and then went on to talk about his new book. The only reference he made to the company was when Bill Griffith asked him about consolidation in the industry, Pete jokingly said, "yeah, we're buying Anheuser Busch..." A lot of it wasn't Pete's fault. I've always thought that Bill Griffith, as well as the whole "Power Lunch" segment on CNBC is just a big waste of two hours. It is the total opposite of "Squawk Box" with Haines and Kernan. Whereas Squawk Box provides you with timely insight to the day's developments, "Power Lunch" is nothing more than mindless filler for the neophytes of the investing world--I equate it to the three front page "Human Interest" columns on the Wall Street Journal--yeah, some of the articles are somewhat interesting but you'd never garner anything that would help you make a buck in the market. But I digress... What I meant to say was, that Griffeth was posing the questions in a way that focused the interview to make it a "The Microbrew Industry...Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," instead of asking specific questions about WIKD. They spent more time talking about Pete's dead dog than they did about what is going on at WIKD (and I'm not making that up). The bottom line is: If he wanted to promote his book, he should've went on Oprah and maybe she'd put it on her Book of the Month Club. If he wanted to promote his stock, he should've went on Squawk Box. Good luck, Gary
