Doug and others -- From the May 25 US News and World Report:

"Wireless services could turn out to be the biggest threat to the Baby Bells. . . . AT&T and Sprint PCS have been building digital cellular networks that are now available to more than 100 million Americans.

Merrill Lynch estimates that the number of wireless minutes grew to 3.8% of all phone minutes by the end of 1997, and that wireless's share will reach 7.3% by 2000."

Good to see more indications that the cellular boom is more than just additional car phones.
