That's the problem. Instead of following internet email standards that've been established for a while, MS decides to subvert and add quirks, why? , so that you're stuck with using their product, which is done by leveraging their OS monopoly.

Read it again - it wasn't designed as an Internet mail tool. It was designed as a client for an enterprise email system, one that didn't use the internet. Just like Notes. Would you say the same about them?

Microsoft is only interested in dominating the market. Do you at all see this?

OF COURSE ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS DOMINATE THE MARKET!!! What company doesn't want to dominate their market? Netscape wants to dominate the browser and web server market. Sun wants the server hardware market. Show me a company not interested in dominating the market and I'll show you a dying company.

But you don't see. There is a difference. Microsoft added and changed, intently, many functions to Java, in an attempt to break its run-anywhere capability.. to force developers to write to the windows platform.

Wrong. Just plain wrong. You can EASILY write 100% Pure Java applications using MS tools. Oh, and can you show me those documents showing what their "intent" was? Or were you in those strategy meetings?
