<<releasing a new version of SmartCode to handle a language that is already year 2000 compliant accomplishes???>>

Come on Ted & Jeff. You can't let this one go by without a response. The new version of Smartcode mentioned in the release is not a Y2K product (in the traditional sense):

"Alydaar is also making available a release of its automated SmartCode
conversion process for the rapidly expanding Java marketplace. The
SmartCode translator will have the capabilities of converting old legacy code such as COBOL and PL/I into C++ or Java."

You who are programmers please explain to Shane the importance of this product, and why ALYD will be around long after 2000. Don't feel you have to wait for #6300 to tackle this one.
