Take this FWIW. From EE Times:

DAW BOOKS BIG ORDER, SEES INDUSTRY RECOVERY -- Daw Technologies has won a contract worth about $3.2M in new business to provide the clean-room air delivery system for the expansion of "a North American facility of a major multinational semiconductor manufacturer," the Salt Lake City-based firm said. David R. Grow, EVP/COO, stated, "We believe this is a precursor to the recovery of the semiconductor industry and represents the beginning of an increase in spending by the major semiconductor companies for new or expanded manufacturing facilities." You read it here first. Daw Technologies: 80l 977-3236.

Justa,

Thanks for the clarification. Nothing like a tape to improve one's recall. :-)

Anyway, I no longer hold any AMAT position whatsoever. Must be all the bears getting to me. Plus with FOMC next week, I thought this might be a good time to lighten up. Every analyst I've heard for the past week says that the Fed won't tighten. I firmly believe that when all analysts, economists, etc are in accord, then it's a flat out certainty that they're wrong.

Hope to be back in soon, but until then, I'll keep my AMAT comments to myself.

Best wishes to all,
Ian.
