There may have been a lot of considered before filing the lawsuits - I am just pointing out that it may be PERCEIVED in the marketplace that Sun is filing lawsuits at the "drop of a hat" because of (i) McNealy's past and present strong views on MSFT (ii) it is not making substantial headway with Java aganist MSFT's dominance (iii) getting desperate (iv) trying to use courts excessively for "perceived" minor issues.

I am not contending that these are real (except No. 1). All I am saying is it just strengthens the pre-conceived notions and mis-conceptions about SUNW among Wall Street analysts. I, myself, inspite of my investment in SUNW over the years, consider these lawsuits a distraction and not particularly with merit.
