Re:Mavica

In a past post, I mentioned the Mavica as well as my concerns about disc media in hostile conditions. This has not changed. In my last post, I did not endorse the Mavica or similar applications. I merely pointed out the capacity difference given a choice between the two discs, 200MB HiFi, or 40MB Vapor!.

I still hold that disc media will always be less reliable than sturdy, dependable Flash Technology.

I read a post by RR stating that a regular sized floppy disk drive is a better choice for cameras than a CLIK! sized drive? RR's statement is wrong because the consumer will never select a bulky sized camera that needs lots of power over the much much smaller package that incorporates the CLIK!.

The match book sized CLIK! drive, when offered, for cameras will most certainly be the choice of the consumer public rather than the BULKY 3 &1/2 inch floppy drive for cameras.
