In case it hasn't previously been mentioned on this thread, myocardial infarction, history of myocardial infarction, coronary insufficiency, angina or other evidence suggestive of coronary artery disease are all contraindications to the use of phentolamine (the active agent in Vasomax) in its parenteral form. I don't have handy an old PDR to see what the contraindications to the oral form were when it was available as an anti-hypertensive agent, but I'll bet it wan't different.
