So what you are saying is that certain religions are false, regardless of how strongly in is believed. Is that right.

As far as the ship over Phoenix my assumption is that these people probably saw something. This is not a valid comparison to the risen Lord and the testimony of those who saw him. He was seen by those that knew him, that loved him, and they conversed and ate with him. The only way to deny their claim is to say they lied. What other alternative is there?
If you saw a loved one after they died, it may be hysteria, if over 500 saw it, twelve of his closest friends in the same room, at the same time, this is evidence that should not be ignored. Unless you are willing to belive they lied.
