Java - by design is late binding. It has actual names of data elements. Run it through Mocha and you have basically the original source. I know what is involved in machine language reverse engineering. It is very difficult because there are no hints - data names are lost, as are names of functions - particularly externals.

There are scramblers, but still, the job is by definition much, much, much, easier. Pathetically so. By design - it has to be.

(the Java code that our tool generates should set anyone back a wee bit.... :-) That is if someone uses Obsydian to create a Java back end system.
