ratan and all - some of us stick-in-the-mud gold- and silver-bugs are wondering what the effects of recent Indian events will be on the Au and Ag markets. India does have influence on precious metals markets out of proportion to its GDP. Would anyone like to come over and speak on that? Here's Silver #reply-4420175 and here's Gold #reply-4442569

Re your sarcasm, ratan; As a mexicano among the gringos, I hear ya. Shakespeare had that one right "Life is a comedy if you think and a tragedy if you feel", for sure. We are all pretty absurd, though, it goes round and round in a circle. Step back and think, and laugh - that's my philosophy ......... cheers ........ marcos

All,

Here is a thought. The US should be glad that India is trying to be a military super power, to counter-act the Chinese, who, at the rate our technolgy is being transfered, will become an 'economic super power' as well as a 'military' super power(which they are currently) in the next millenium. Remember the Soviet Union of old was just a military super power and still the US had trouble dealing with them. Imagine what it is going to be like dealing with China. JMHO.

Regards,

Clayton
