Thanks for the "heads-up" on the Business Week
story...I don't normally read it but its nice to
read what many others see in print. (BTW my borrowed
issue is dated May 18th not the 25th regarding
the Japanese Zaito debts.)

Any merger of Daimler-Chrysler-Nissan may turn
up some interesting accounting practices at the
current alliance target Nissan and partners
Nissan Diesel and Fuji Heavy Industries.

Maybe the Germans can teach the Japanese the
"more appropriate" accounting method of hiding
assets (thru reserves) rather than liabilities
(thru offsheet transactions).<g>
