CNBC says DOJ and AG's to...

allow manufacturers the choice of removing Internet Explorer icon and the choice of which screen appears first after boot. Nothing mentioned about integration restrictions.

I just heard this on their Edge show.

Injunction to Windows98? I thought that idea was already rejected by the Appeal Court last night,..

Chung, the ruling was in favor of MSFT in re an appeal to a ruling last Dec...in other words, MSFT is out of the woods on shipping Win98 for now. But the govt lawyers may try a last-ditch effort to derail Win98, which imo will fail. Joel Klein has already prejudged Microsoft, but the judges who he reports to have not.
