Jack,

You're getting the hang of this. When the intermediate stuff is mixed, it's up to the short term stuff to filter up and influence the intermediate. Check out the 2, 1, 2 the 3, 1, 2 the 4, 2, 3 and the 5, 3, 5 SMI. Then go to the MACD. The 3 dRSI is about to go berserk. I'd say you're impression of the situation is right on. The intermediate term stuff is on the verge of turning up strongly and that gives it plenty of room to the upside.
