Mudcat,

re:<<I think the only people who believed the .84 H&Q earnings were the yea-sayers on this thread. >>

Yes. But still, it was very, very, very important for you to point out to the people who did not believe this that it was a mistake.

re:<<I've been saying the .84 number was a mistake for a few months now, but all the spin doctors on the thread kept telling me i was wrong. >>

We all bow before the perpspicacity of your vision. The fact that the market never accepted the estimate in question does nothing to detract from your greatness in sniffing it out -- you alone knew and revealed the true story. Please remind us every 1/2 hour so that we won't forget. It won't affect anyone's investment decisions, but it will allow us to bask in the sunshine of your glory. Continue to be fearless. (Some of those straw men are tougher than they look!) You are forever DA MAN! No other financial analyst or investor can hold a candle to you. Yours is the financial scoop of the year and one of the greatest feats of financial legerdemain in internet history. We are humbled in your muddy presence.

Regards,
John

Mudcat, interesting viewpoint. You're saying that an analyst firm, cutting a stock's 1999 earnings prediction from .84 to .08, and cutting a revenue prediction from $130 million to $100 million, shouldn't cause an effect on a stock.

Let me think about the merits of your statement for a little while.

In the meantime, thanks for sharing your market knowledge with us.
