Do we have a Singular association of Plural dealers ?

I think I understand your question. NASD stands for "National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc." When we refer to it acronymically, it should be singular. But often we use "they" when we refer (loosely) to the people within an organization. This makes for two right answers, in my view. For example, this conversation:

"The US makes a lot of foreign policy mistakes." (singular)
"Yes, they never know the right thing to do." (plural)
