I love obsessive-compulsives. Yes. My father had a cleaning woman who was a businesswoman. But on weekends she cleaned people's houses because she just LOVED to do it. I feel this is very, very sick, but chacun a son gout.

We have an old friend who is otherwise normal to all intents and purposes, except that when she comes to visit she has been known to take the knobs off the gas range and clean underneath the knobs. Apparently she just sort of has a thing about that. We make sure to leave them suitably grotty when she's expected so that she has something entertaining to do. And we subtly leave out the cleaning stuff so she doesn't have to ask. She prefers those yellow sponges with the green scouring pad on one side. She and her husband came and stayed five days once, rest assured we had the cleanest range knobs in San Francisco.
