Ann; I have enjoyed our conversations. I believe you would have much to offer. I really enjoy learning from women because they can offer a perspective that is different from a man's. My wife teaches me about scripture all the time as she has a tremendous gift of discernment. I sense you have this as well. It is our loss. Perhaps some other day. I wonder what men you spoke of when you said, <<The other men in other cultures that were raised to the same status as a supreme religious leader must have been just as charismatic. >> I am not aware of any other who made claims of divinity, that are not considered mad. Yeshua made this claim as well, however he was quite sane in my opinion, as he knew who he was. You said that Yeshua was a good human being. How do you reconcile his "erronious" claims to be God with that statement? To me a man who claims divinity is either a liar, a madman, or someone to be listened to. Many say he was a great teacher, however if he was killed for claiming to be God, his teaching ability is suspect at best. Like the apostles I spoke of earlier, if this was not his intention he could have admitted it and avoided the misunderstanding, and avoided a very painful death. If Yeshua had been insane or simply a liar, you and so many others would not call him good. What other option is there but Lord? In His name - DLL PS Please reconsider the Bible Study.
