DCF,

Isn't it all too obvious that these writings, & all writings that thru the passage of time have been designated divine words from various gods, were written by very clever people. Probably by the religious leaders in order to corral their flock. Declaring that the words came straight from god made them that more powerful as a control method.

The religious leaders were far and away the most clever people in those ancient times because they knew a cushy job(as in powerful & fairly easy) when they saw it.

In order to control & create civil order--prevent social chaos--they wrote these words and told the uneducated, easily led masses that if they didn't follow these words from god they would burn in hell. Of course, in those days the poor, downtrodden throngs were lemmings(still many of those around today). The religious led them around by the nose with these scripts and the peasants followed.

Worked very effectively to keep law & order for ages. Now it's time to drop it. We're a little better educated these days. We can manage by just treating each other fairly, pleasantly & with integrity.
