A quick look at Schering-Plough. Even though it can go up from here, for a short term play it looks a bit premature. The longer term uptrend of this stock still looks positive even though it did break though its 50 day MA for a couple days which happened a couple weeks ago, but then this was followed up by a good "bounce". This stock has been consolidating for a couple of months. The stock has not broken out of its consolidation range yet. There seems to be buying interest in this stock in evidence that helped the stock on its last bounce its support and other factors like the behavior of the stock's momentum and the intact bullish weekly picture. The weeklies on this are looking strong. I would wait until a convincing breakout from its top where it continues to make new highs. In this way the previous high that is a significant resistance can turn into support. It would be even better waiting until the support or a trendline is confirmed. This of course depends on the timeframe of your trade. But then this market is still in a trading range despite the new high made by the DJIA. IMO it is even premature to make a call on the Dow.

Note that I have not looked at the tape of this stock, I am going by the chart. I also have not looked at indicators more appropriate for short duration trades since the web charts are not that flexible. So your shorter term indicators may be telling you this is a good trade to make now.

Getting back into the discapline of chart reading. Just my opinions of course.
