Shane, from the Intel thread:

Yousef - Re: DLJ CHARLES BOUCHER semi analyst starts..."

Has Boucher moved form USB to DLJ?

He has been quite negative on Intel for about the past 9 months.

The answer came back from Yousef 'yes', but he didn't say when.

Re: "...he is now at DLJ then should not the DLJ coverage be something like
"initiated coverage" unless of course DLJ did cover LSI in the past and had them
as something lower than "buy"!"

I think it is the latter. I never had heard of Boucher before.

We need the 800 pound gorilla to shake the inventory problem, which Andy Grove admitted to this week, to get INTC stock moving way up again, and lift all the (good) semis valuations. Craig Barrett has stated twice that in 2H98, Intel will start growing again. I believe Intel management. Re the good semis, I think LSI is one. NSM, OTOH, is imploding.
