Odd how people get strange habits when they get old. Your mother liking the shag carpet. My dear Sainted mom was worried about not having enough plastic wrap, ie Saran Wrap. When she would get short she would buy two boxes of it and use one. The other she would put on the shelves under the basement stairs and forget it. When she left this world it took us 12 years to use up all that wrap.

She also covered a nice cork floor with a carpet and had all the heat/air registers closed to avoid drafts. Makes me wonder how nutty I'll become.

A sad day indeed.

Frank Sinatra, the dashing teen idol who matured into the premier romantic balladeer of American popular music and the "Chairman of the Board" to his millions of fans, died Thursday night of a heart attack. He was 82.

My favorite Sinatra story. About 8 years ago we went to Mass on Saturday night at our local parish and heard a wonderful male singing voice behind us. At Communion we were stunned when we saw Frank Sinatra in the line. He was attending Mass before a concert in St. Louis later that evening.

The great thing was, no one bothered him for autographs or anything and he did nothing to bring attention to himself.
