Lawrence Kam, you said a while back you wished you could have gotten the WDC convertible bonds (on the same terms that WDC sold them).

I don't know what the sale price will be, but it looks like the bonds might be available for public purchase.

Western Digital Announces Filing of Registration Statement
for Convertible Subordinated Debentures

IRVINE, Calif., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Digital Corporation (NYSE: WDC - news)
announced today that it has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission a registration statement
relating to the resale by holders of its $1,297,200,000 aggregate principal amount at maturity Zero
Coupon Convertible Subordinated Debentures due 2018 and the shares of common stock issuable upon
conversion thereof. The debentures were originally issued by the company in a private placement on
February 18, 1998 to certain qualified institutional investors in transactions exempt from registration
under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the registration statement is required under the
terms of that issuance.

The registration statement is subject to completion and amendment and relates only to offers and sales
of the debentures and shares of common stock issuable upon exercise thereof by holders thereof.
Western Digital Corporation will not receive any of the proceeds of such sales The registration
statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to these securities has not yet
become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time
