***OT***OT REF: 'The Indian thing'.

Sonki: I don't think the 'India thing', as you call it, by itself wouldn't have much of an effect on the U.S stock market as the foreign investments in India is marginal at best, especially compared to the foreign investment in South East Asia,China and/or Japan. The total foreign investments in India during the last 5 years in India is less than 10 billion dollars or there abouts and it represents less than 1% of the Indian economy, chump change if you ask me.

But if the trouble in Indonesia gets worse and spreads to other former 'Tiger' nations and China that could have an effect as the investments in these countries are of Herculean proportions compared to India. Indian economy is a domestically driven one,at least that is what the 'experts' tell me.Of course I could be wrong as I am no 'expert' on anything let alone matters of investment or military strategy or international policy making.
