Trey:

I agree- WSTL sure introduced some confusion with their "proved profitable to WSTL" remark... possibly more going on behind the scenes than many of us might know... however, stated earlier, one BIG QUESTION is: why would WSTL announce this the day before earnings/CC? If they feel this is important enough to share with investors, I'd have to guess that we needn't look forward to any surprise during the CC... I think the stock will rise tomorrow, though. ORCTF already had positive expectations factored into the price- not true of WSTL.

Now that FTEL has been announced. Maybe some analyst will do what they are suppose to do. Predict stock apreciation. BEL PR will be this summer. Repeat Pitt...Balt-WASH to start in fall. This Ftel PR is more than fluff. The only thing missing was the mention of BT. However, I would not be surprised to see another FTEL-WSTL PR in a few weeks that does have FTEL-WSTL-BT all in on release. Early 1999 for BT is not a push out. CAP to start migrate to DMT sounds like BT likes BEL plans. Does anybody know who BT's most installed switch is? It sounds like their could be a (LU type deal oppurtunity) in the UK. Of yes, the quarter should be slightly BTE. No major surprises. LU deal should be explained, and don't expect wstl to give dates on BEL. I would not expect detailed comments on BT. You must realize that the customers are very sticky on theses matters. Always have been and always will be. ALSO M.Z. will not be in ILL for the call but remote. I think his FF miles are mounting.
