Ilya k, We disagree, obviously, about training. You asked if I knew any brilliant 20 year old software engineers who are also great trainers. Yes, I do, I have seen many. However, they need not use a software engineer as a trainer. They could use a tech support person, a broker-type person, or hire a trainer. If I, and many other clients are paying Cyber $500-1000 per day in commissions, risking our portfolio, I don't think it's too much to ask for a trainer. Having someone else <e.g. Pristine> do the training for them (if that is really their intention) is not the answer, in my opinion, because it's like saying "we can't teach you our software, we want you to go try to learn it from someone else." From someone independent over whom Cyber would have little control as to the quality and accuracy of the actual training. Nope, with all due respect, that's not the way to go. Maybe as an addition to in-house training, but not as a replacement for it. Also disagreeing with you, I think Cyber's charting is wholly adequate for daytrading. The new version supposedly offers more charting features. Personally, I think the charts are fine as they are. I would much rather a better short list, a good news service, S&P futures, bonds, OEX and SPX indices, better formal in-house training, etc. I think more detailed charts would be of benefit on longer term trades, but not daytrades. Regarding the speed of the dedicated frame relay line versus trading over the internet, have you ever run a TRACERT from your desktop to see the ping times you are getting? Using various ISP's and internet connections, the time can be very very slow. Using a 128k ISDN connection, I have seen mine take up to 16 hops to reach Cyber with ping times of 100msec to 900msec, average maybe 200 msec. Often it's too slow for trading, lately especially. The frame is supposed to cut that time down to less than 50 msec, maybe even to 10 msec, I'm not sure. But it apparently gives you times well under the 90 msec which I believe is specified by Cyber for using the software. I don't think anyone would really seriously argue that an internet connection is faster or more reliable than a dedicated frame relay line. Now I hate World Com and will never buy their product. But I do understand why major corporations use those type connections instead of the internet. Bill
