To Thread ---- OT Possible 'scenerio' for this time period ---- 2 players, both 'making a market' in DELL. Player 1 is "1", Player 2 is "2" -------- "1" - "Hey '2', what do you have in the 'DELL' book today?" "2" - "Well, I see a couple of hundred K (shares) taking profits at $100, and a couple of 100K with 'stops' at $95. What've you got?" "1" - "'Bout the same. What've you got in your 'book'?" "2" - "375K, and you?" "1" - "400k. Think we have enough to get 'em?" "2" - "Don't know. I've been watching that SI thread, and there are sure a bunch of 'nuts' over there. They just seem to 'buy' and 'hold'! We've been been shakin' that tree, and there's a bunch that are really holdin' on! What do you think?" "1" - "Well we still have that 'load' at $100 and $95! I think that if we 'run it' now, we can make it work! What d'ya think?" "2" - "Let's get 'em! We'll start with a couple of 'small' trades (between ourselves) and run 'er down, 'pick up' those $95s stops (out of our 'books' any any others that come along) and run for the $100s (buying as much as possible for our 'books' at ~$95) selling our holdings at $100. Each of us with a couple of 100K shares of stock should be able to make a 'mil' on the $5 play!" "1" - "Works for me! Wanna' start right away? Nah, after coffee!
