Clint, tomorrow is going to be a nice day for you. Funny thing is, I mentioned hwp as a nice short last week when it was around 75. Then I noticed your comments today on hwp (over 80-way too high) and wanted to buy puts but never got around to it. Now it looks like it's too late as hwp is off 7 after hours. If you read my comments on sunw this year I have been saying basically the same thing as you, though I did double my money around Jan when sunw was too cheap. I too see it basically just spinning its wheels between 35-50. I also, like you, don't think much of coms but nevertheless it hasn't made any move in ages and I think it may be due some brief spurt soon. Cable modems should be getting more popular which should help coms somewhat. I've got puts on AMD but the big boys won't let it slip past 25. I think maybe lrcx is a better short, perhaps. I can see lrcx testing 20 one more time.
Man, you don't get too many easy calls like hwp over 80 and I'm mad at myself for putting it off for tomorrow or after that. I should have known such great opportunities don't last long. I still am long msft but wonder if a general market correction won't take down the mighty msft with it. Thus I've started to go further out with my msft calls. I still am counting on one more summer rally before Greenspan et al close up shop with their rate increase this summer. As always, it looks like tech will get hit the worst so should be lots of great shorts to choose from then.

Congrats on HWP Clint, but in the future would you mind giving us a few extra days notice on your picks like you did with QCOM? ;)
