It cannot be market efficiency as I have indicated in the aforementioned. <Consider also their power to mount effective lobbying campaigns in Washington or our state capitals, seeking favorable outcomes in contests over environmental or health and safety regulations.> Is this supose to be a new problem? It is far from Microsoft specific. As a matter of fact it was NSCP and SUN that have exhibited this undue governmental influence which has forced MSFT to take up defense through the markets and private counsel. Your stipulated argument applies to the foes of MSFT much more than it applies to MSFT.
