JT, I didn't hear the teaser, but someone on a breast cancer listserver indicated that Dennis Slamon would be on CBS's Good Morning America? today. He is involved in the development of GNE's Herceptin, which is a monoclonal antibody that targets HER2 on the surface of breast cancers (it is over expressed on a subset that frequently have a poorer prognosis). Since it may be approved soon, several news outlets may be running stories.

Of interest to LGND shareholders is the fact that DAB389-EGF is a fusion protein that targets EGF which is also called HER1 and it is closely related to HER2 (HER stands for Human EGF Receptor).

DAB389-EGF is in phase I studies against a variety of cancer which I believe includes breast cancer (some of which over express EGF). Details at home.att.net

JT, I just checked abcnews.com and they still show last night's Nightline schedule (What's going on inside the Republican party?)
