any idea how singapore gov. reacts to sanctions from us on asian companies. is there any history of following the lead? mike

Supposing they just started buying shares over here in the US. What the heck is Singapore going to do to them? How could they stop them? Prosecute them over a law they're getting ready to change? Maybe throw Sim in jail? It be ludicrous. But they don't even have to be so open about it. All they have to do is call up ML and tell them to start buying and holding for them and that they will pay them 1/8 spread above cost for every share when the law is changed. Simple. And no doubt ML or some other house would be happy for the business. Hell, I'd do it in my account for 1 cent a share. And I bet there's nothing in the law this would violate. There's certainly no US legal problem. Meanwhile they're sitting on $400 million of our money and doing nothing with it. And the shareholders keep twisting in the wind. Dennis
