JR,

USB universal serial port was originally developed to fix the bewildering and sometimes impossible jungle of differing types of ways that you hook up periferals to windows machines. It is slower than SCSI but faster than parallel or serial ports that are now used to add periferals. It is also faster than ADB ports which are used on Macs for keyboard/mouse/slates. USB also allows 'hot swapping' ie., you can plug your Zip into your computer when it is on without hurting the system.

No other Macs currently support USB but they will in the future and that is probably a good thing since most periferals will be designed to use USB.

OK, now Phil or Soup or Bob can straighten out any facts I have messed up.

The Seinfeld ad was the 'Think Different' add with and early video of Jerry doing stand up. Pretty effective. Probably not worth 1.4 Million dollars but who knows.

HWP down 13% today!!!
