Good morning Frank- I agree with your tirade against the DOJ and greedy stse governments re: MSFT. Also as Sonny pointed out, SUNW has done more than "lift a finger" they are a leader in the coalition of competitors in this attack.

Here is an important perspective on how the market may react to this latest news on this issue:

Big Microsoft investors sit tight
Antitrust action not expected to rattle largest investors

Frank. I guess you heard in the mean time that it is very likely that some kind of settlement in the Msft case will be reached. Latest I heard was that Msft will wait until Monday to distribute their Windows 98 and that there will be no Anti Trust suit against Msft at this time. It is likely that this stuff will go on for another couple of years but the worst seems to be over right now and the stock price of Msft is reflecting this. I guess you could call it a relief rally. Well, at least I am relieved.

Now if something could be done about HWP. I can't believe that once again their earnings will be coming in under estimates. I have been very patient with this company but it is almost impossible to think that the company did not know of this shortfall in earnings earlier. Another Intel and CPQ fiasco. It looks like these companies can get away with anything. At least Intel had warned all along of slower earnings but HWP put encouraging articles out right up to the earnings warning 2 days before earnings are coming out. I felt like selling all my HWP this morning when it went back to almost 73 but held on. In hindsight I should have sold when it did hit around 72 1/2 since it is now back to 70+. Very interesting that all those analysts got fooled this time around also or did they get fooled? As late as yesterday there were upgrades on HWP. Oh well, back to Ground Zero.

The Naz is looking pretty well and the Dow would be up almost 30 if it were not for HWP.

I have not heard much about India on CNBC. The Msft and HWP stories are taking up most of the news there.

Do you own Mot? They received one of the biggest contracts ever from a Greek? company I think. But the stock is down despite that good news. I guess it had run up before hand on takeover news. gg. I don't own it.

Sonny
